One of the Special K functions allows the game's background colour to be altered. Special K functions are so called because they were keyboard functions in earlier versions

The 'What's Left' function shows what tiles have not been paired up and disposed of

Here the 'What's Left' function has been used and the puzzle is being redrawn one tile at a time. This could be used to see what tiles are on lower levels

hitting the 'L' key in the game brings up a menu that allows the player to change the tile set being used
