Horror meets the mark

The Good
The depth of the nightmarish graphics is so well done with a minimalist use of mainly six colours, this game feels like a direct followup to Bleszinski's previous title The Palace of Deceit: The Dragon's Plight and is comparable to Last Half of Darkness. There's quite a bit of blood, gore and scariness in some screens, it seems more like it belongs in the horror genre. The chilling music really pairs well with the atmosphere. It's a relief that there are no deaths anywhere. Even the creepy ending does not disappoint.

The Bad
For the most epic episode, it does feel shorter than the second one, but longer than the first one. Young adventurers could have used an easy-mode for this episode, but that does not affect the quality of the game. The same pixel hunting problem remains in the game, but seldom occurs. Nothing really wrong with this game.

The Bottom Line
It's surprising this title didn't get the ESRB endorsement. Even the misleading cover art hides the true genre. And to think a ten-year old character was facing the horrors. With adventure games this "Epic", you really want to see more of this. This game deserves a freeware release for everyone to enjoy, if they can get it to work on their current computer. Intrigue yourself as you point and click away.
