LTV-Erie Mining Company Railroad Trainset
Description
LTV-Erie Mining Company Railroad Trainset is an add-on for Microsoft Train Simulator.
The mining company operated in Minnesota, USA between the Hoyt Lakes and Taconite Harbour. Each year twenty-five million tons of taconite, a low grade ore, was mined, crushed and refined into pellets that were transported to the port on Lake Superior where they were shipped to steel plants in Ohio and Indiana. Sometimes a single load of pellets could weigh around eight thousand tons and the train that would move this load would consist of four locomotives and over one hundred cars.
This package contains the F9 locomotive, the F9B 'booster' unit, the GP20 locomotive, and the Alco RS-11 locomotive. It also contains the Mangor cars and two authentic routes, the mainline route and the work route.
Note: Version 1.0 of the LTV-Erie Mining Trainset did not contain the two advertised routes when it was shipped. The player was alerted to this by a sticker on the back panel of the inlay. A card was included inside the keep case advising purchasers to write 'No Routes' on the registration card so that a replacement disc could be sent.
