THQ Wireless was a subsidiary of THQ Inc. It was headquartered in Calabasas, California and had offices worldwide. This division was dedicated to developing content exclusively for the mobile entertainment arena. THQ Wireless developed products based on well-known licenses such as the WWETM, Star Wars, popular Nickelodeon properties and professional sports leagues including the NFL, NBA, NHL, PLAYERS INC, MLBPA, NHLPA and the NHRA.
One of the subsidiaries was the Finnish development studio Universomo, Ltd.
In February 2011 publisher THQ announced to have sold the division to advertising and distribution firm 24MAS.

It is revealed the company has laid off 100 employees as a result of a decision to focus its wireless division on making games for smart phones. The company closes its San Diego, Calif., U.K., and German wireless game development offices. The Universomo studio in Finland was continued as the center of the companyās wireless game business.
