Added description to World Golf III · February 8, 2023

World Golf III is the third and final game in Enix's World Golf series.

The game has 3 modes to choose from: 1P Tournament, 2P Tournament and 1P Training. Just like in the previous game, you'll be competing in tournaments but this time the goal is not to earn prize money, but to gain experience and level up to become a top pro. You can earn experience points not only for placing well in tournaments, but also for nice approach shots and various under-par plays such as birdies and eagles. If you win a tournament, you'll get a better set of golf clubs as a prize.

There are four courses: Amateur, Japan Open, USA Open, and World Tour. A new feature is Coffee Break which can be viewed after every hole and displays pictures of girls. The images change depending on your score and there are 4 unique images per course.

When on the golf course the player can choose the club they want to use, adjust the shot angle and pick where to make contact with the ball. The power of the shot is determined by stopping a moving bar at the correct time.

World Golf II is the second entry in Enix's World Golf series.

There are 2 modes: tournament and training. In tournament mode you participate in a match and compete with other golfers, while training mode allows you to practice your favorite holes as many times as you like.

New to this entry is the prize money and qualification system. Only amateur tournaments can be entered at first but winning and earning prize money allows you to participate in pro tournaments on different courses and also grants you better sets of golf clubs.

Before each shot the player has to choose the adequate golf club, adjust the shot angle and stance. The power of the shot is determined by stopping a moving bar at the right time. Wind direction must also be taken into consideration.

Added description to Cyberblock Metal Orange · September 26, 2022

Cyberblock Metal Orange is a ball-and-paddle game with adult content. Like Breakout/Arkanoid, the player must keep the ball from falling out the bottom of the screen, while at the same time attempting to break all destructible blocks on the screen.

Whenever you break certain blocks, colored capsules will pop out. Pick up the blue capsule to slow down the speed of the ball. Picking up the red capsules will increase your power meter by one increment. Depending on how full it is, you can choose from 7 different power-ups:

  • TURBO - speed up
  • BIT - expands the paddle's width
  • DISRUPTION - ball splits into six instances of itself
  • LASER - allows you to shoot lasers
  • ILLUSION - moving the paddle back and forth leaves ghost trails behind it
  • BARRIER - creates a barrier at the bottom of the screen
  • GIGA BALL - ball that can tear through most blocks instead of bouncing off them

Some of these can be powered up by two or more levels, while others cannot be used together.

Each stage stars one of 5 girls: Tomo, Kazumi, Mika, Rinn and Cynthia. They will take off pieces of clothing as you play through more levels. A stage is cleared when the girl is completely naked.

Sharp X68000 version titled Cyberblock Metal Orange EX has higher resolution visuals and support for analog controls.

Added description to Alltynex · February 7, 2021

Alltynex is a vertically-scrolling shoot' em up. It's a doujin game developed by Satoshi Yoshida in 1996. He entered it in the 2nd ASCII Entertainment Software Contest (also known as A-con) held in 1996 and won the prize in the PC software category. As a result, the game was included on a CD that came with the magazine Login Softcon. In 1997 version 1.01 was released as freeware on the developer's website.

The story is about a supercomputer ALLTYNEX that goes rogue and decides to wage a war on all of mankind. The player controls a fighter spacecraft which can also transform into a mecha that has more powerful weapons but is generally slower. The standard fighter has an upgradeable spread shot and the secondary weapon is a homing laser. In mecha form there's a very powerful but short range sword while the secondary weapon is a big laser. Secondary weapons use an energy meter that drains as the weapon is fired. It charges as more things are destroyed or damaged. Also, as long as the player has collected at least one main weapon power-up, the first enemy hit will not destroy the player's craft, but instead reduce power-up level to zero. There are five stages in total. Two player mode is also available.

The game was remade with polygonal graphics as Alltynex Second, released on August 14, 2010 at Summer Comiket 78.
