The Odyssey 2 (or Odyssey²) was the successor to the Magnavox Odyssey. The console was sold by Magnavox</moby in the US and Philips in South America and Europe. In Europe it was sold under the name Videopac G7000.

Unique feature of the console compared to its contemporaries was the inclusion of a full alphanumeric (membrane) keyboard on the console itself. This keyboard made the console more suitable for educational games that featured typing or programming directly on the console. Also multiple games on the console continued the concept of blending video and physical board games. A precedent that was set by the original Odyssey due to its technical limitations.

A speech synthesizer expansion module was released for the console. Europe also saw the release of the Videopac G7200, which included an built-in screen.

The console did well in the US, but trailed behind the Atari 2600 and Mattel Intellivision. Production stopped shortly after the start of the 1983 North American video game crash. In Brazil and Europe it remained popular and Europe saw a successor launched in 1983: The Videopac+ G7400.
