Biography edit · view history
Ivan has always had some sort of writing instrument at hand. From his growing up days in Guadalajara, Mexico to airbrushing T-shirt orders for friends in his parent’s garage in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Then later, a mechanical pencil and drafting paper were his companions during his Engineering days while attending Louisiana State University. After obtaining his Industrial Engineering Design degree he moved to sunny Southern California to perfect his artistic talents at Art Center of Design in Pasadena. There, he studied all types of design while specializing in one of his passions—automobile design and marketing. After graduating he accepted his first job in Austin, Texas and thus began his career of over 18 years in the Commercial Arts Field and Software Development. As an Art Director for three different software developers in Texas and California, Ivan led teams of artist and conceptualized vehicles, buildings, characters and presented possible game directions. He has seven published video game titles ranging from N64, Playstation and Playstation 2 platforms. He has also successfully worked with teams of fellow artists to produce seven CD-Rom “edutainment” titles for the PC. Most recently, Ivan has used his skills as a Marketing Director. Even during these busy years at these companies he found other ways to expand and enhance his art field. Ivan provided his own ideas and sketches in the manufacturing of a new motorcycle and assuring its sale. Ivan was also able to inspire other artists and make positive changes as an adjunct faculty instructor for two years in the Commercial Art Department at Austin Community College. Ivan’s diverse and solid background will help ensure the success of his goal—to make and market the highest standard of entertainment! Currently, he is an Art Director for a software developer company based in San Antonio, Texas.
