Charles "Skip" Paul is a retired entertainment industry executive and an investment firm adviser.
After serving as a Supreme Court clerk, he joined Atari as general counsel and senior vice president. He was the first point of contact with MCA/Universal for the licensing of E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.
In January 1985, while Atari was being dismantled, he left and joined MCA, becoming a flexible executive. He facilitated a purchase deal by Matsushita in 1990, launched Universal Interactive Studios in 1993, and acquired a stake in Interplay in 1994.
In 1995, he started a high-profile joint venture between Universal, DreamWorks, and SEGA that became the arcade/restaurant chain GameWorks.
