In June 2011 Trion World announced that John Burns joined the company as senior vice president and general manager of Europe. He had already been consulting with Trion since the beginning of the year. Previously he held positions as general manager of Atari and senior director of online publishing at Electronic Arts. He also formed the company EON Digital and has held positions at Activision (five years) and SEGA.
