When Turbine was created in 1994, Jeremy was CEO and lead designer for Asheron's Call, and by the time he left in 1998 he was serving as Vice President, CTO, and Chairman of the Board.
Jeremy joined Origin Systems as the Lead Programmer for Ultima Online 2 in 1998.
In 2001, he founded Destination Games with Richard Garriott, Robert Garriott, and Starr Long. Destination Games was rapidly purchased by NCsoft and became the headquarters for NCsoft US. Jeremy was the Lead Designer on Tabula Rasa until Destination Games was purchased, at which time he took an executive role in NCsoft to build a full MMP product lineup for NCsoft in the US market.
At NCsoft, Jeremy signed and managed the titles City of Heroes, Guild Wars, Auto Assault, City of Villains and Dungeon Runners, as well as helping bring the Korean products Lineage 1 and Lineage 2 to the US market. He managed the acquisitions of Seattle-based Arena.net and the Guild Wars brand, Phoenix-based Realm Interactive, and NCsoft Orange County, as well as third-party deals with NetDevil in Colorado, Austin-based Spacetime Studios, and Austin-based Fastlane Entertainment. He took an extended leave of absence in 2006, enjoying a semi-retirement (with occasional contracting work) from his role as Vice President of Product Development.
In 2007 he returned as the Executive Producer of Carbine Studios, a development division of NCsoft.
He received a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science from Brown University in 1993, and continued to work there as an artificial intelligence researcher until 1994.
