Biography edit · view history

Tom Scheffler taught himself Microsoft Quick Basic in 1989 and created the DOS game Girlfriend Construction Set that year, inspired by the game Alter Ego. In the mid 1990s, he began working on a Windows version of Girlfriend Construction Set, and released it in 2000. He has continued to develop the game through the years, adding new features and technology, and now the game has far more realism and depth than the primitive 1989 DOS version. A new version of GCS for Windows will be released in 2009, with new features: the player can pick up women at a club, date several women at once, and explore many more dating options. The new version will be available for download at tcshare.com by fall 2009.

In addition to writing the text-based Girlfriend Construction Set, Tom has written several novels and short stories. His latest software release is "Mr. Tom's Music Flash Cards," a program for teaching kids how to read music.
