Ole Mogensen started working in the gaming-industry in 1990 as a producer for a Danish based games company called: Interactivision located in Silkeborg, Denmark.
In 1992 Ole co-founded Brain Bug, a small development studio who landed a contract with Rainbow Arts developing their own properties as well as doing conversions.
In 1995 Softgold (the parent company of Rainbow Arts) brought all the assets of Brain Bug and transferred the entire development team to its German headquarters in Kaarst. Ole continued as a producer overseeing their internal projects as well as handling external projects.
When Softgold was acquired by THQ, Ole was promoted to executive producer and was overseeing a plethora of international branded and non-branded games on a number of different platforms, from start to finish encompassing all the development stages in-between. Some of the games he worked on include: Star Wars, Earthworm Jim 1+2, Yager, X-Beyond the Frontier, Cultures, Zanzarath, Worms mobile, Die Hard, Battlestar Galactica
In 2004 Ole joined IN-FUSIO, a French company providing wireless entertainment content for handset manufacturers, network operators and mobile entertainment portals.
In 2006, Ole worked as a producer for Eidos.
In 2008, Ole started his own company: Valcoon. A consulting company offering end-to-end services, including design, content creation, and project oversight for studios. It was in Krefeld, Germany
In 2011, Ole moved back to Denmark work for Nordisk Film as a Product Manager where he managed development of games on various platforms from inception to launch. The development of these games we outsourced to external teams which he oversaw and supervised.
In 2012, he started at IO Interactive as a Producer where he was involved in Hitman Trilogy HD, Hitman Season 1, Hitman ICA, a Companion App for Hitman Season 1and worked on several Hitman related prototypes.
In 2017, Ole worked at Massive Entertainment in Malmø, Sweden. Where he worked on the Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora game as a Narrative Producer.
In 2021, he worked at Playdead Games in Copenhagen, Denmark on a number of projects.
In 2023, Ole joined Sharkmob in Malmø, Sweden to work on Exoborne, an extraction shooter to be released in 2025.
