Biography edit · view history
Melissa Gaither started her QA career at Electronic Arts with The Sims 2, when she answered an ad on the game's community website. She started on the franchise with the Sims 2: Pets expansion, and finished out the game series. By that time she was working in a lead capacity, and was the Lead QA Tester for The Sims 2: Apartment Pets title for the Nintendo DS. During that time, she was offered, and turned down the lead QA position, instead opting for an assistant lead role. She also did some work on a couple Sims casual titles, as well as SimCity Societies.
After her time at EA, she went to work, briefly, at Zynga. There she did QA on their Facebook and MySpace Texas Hold 'Em poker game. Eventually she would end up at Namco, where she worked on various console titles. After her time with Namco was over she did some consultant work with SilverTree Media, helping out with Cordy and Sleepy Jack for the Android OS.
Melissa most recently ended up in Austin, Texas, working for BioWare on their title Star Wars: The Old Republic.
