Mattias Wiking

In October 2018 Mattias joined as their new Chief Operating Officer.

Previously he worked as an Executive Producer at Orch Star Studios for one year.

In February 2014 Mattias started the Paradox Arctic Studio in Umeå. Paradox Arctic is a Paradox Interactive studio. In September 2017 he left the studio to join the indie developer Orch Star Studios as an Executive Producer.

Mattias has worked with game development since 2000, starting as a programmer at Teknikhuset working on games for children. In 2004, he moved on to Resolution Interactive as a programmer. A year later, he became a senior game-play programmer at the Stockholm-based studio Grin, where he worked on Bionic Command and Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 1 and 2, in collaboration with CapCom and Ubisoft, respectively.

From 2008 to 2011, Mattias worked for Starbreeze Studios in Stockholm as a producer and technical director. He was a member of the corporate management team and his main responsibilities were the technical department, where he oversaw the technology switch from an in-house technology to Unreal Engine 3. As a producer, he managed several teams, pitched and planned projects ranging from AAA to downloadable games and was a central part in the planning of the company’s re-organization.

Mattias graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Game Programming from the PowerHouse, Kramfors, Sweden.
