Jamil is a games business operations veteran, who broke into the game industry by showcasing it as executive director of the Game Developers Conference. Today, he heads games partnerships for Lamina1, a Layer-1 blockchain purpose-built for the Metaverse. Founded by legendary science fiction author Neal Stephenson, who first conceptualized the Metaverse in his iconic novel Snow Crash, and visionary blockchain entrepreneur Peter Vessenes, Lamina1’s aim is to enable an open and interoperable Metaverse for everyone. Jamil previously served in games management positions as CEO of immersive developer Hexagram and mobile game developer Wormhole Games; games portfolio development roles at Google; and lead BD roles at acquired mobile developer Funzio and Electronic Arts.
