Mikael Nermark (1970-2021) was the CEO of the Swedish company Starbreeze. He worked at Starbreeze for 11 years, until he resigned from his position as CEO in October 2020. Prior to joining as Executive Vice President of Starbreeze in 2009, he was a board member at the studio's US subsidiary for six years, and was CEO of Overkill Software for nine months.
He passed away due to cancer in 2021 at the age of 50. The game Payday 3 (2023) is dedicated to his memory.
