Ella Fitzgerald was a jazz singer from America whose career spanned several decades.

Her last public performance was in 1993 and she died 3 years later. She won 13 Grammy Awards and sold over 40 million albums. Fitzgerald was known as "First Lady of Song". As a singer she was known for her clear intonation, broad vocal range and ability to improvise as a scat singer.

Songs recorded by Fitzgerald have been featured in several video games.
