Biography edit · view history
Illinois-native Steve McCoy hails from a long line of engineers. The young Steve McCoy built electronic kits for kicks from Radio Shack. At school, he figured out the Apple II computer that had befuddled teachers.
Around 1980 his parents bought him a Radio Shack TRS-80 Model III, complete with a cassette recorder for storage. The "vintage computer" is enshrined in Steve McCoy's home office today.
Several computers later in 1993, Steve McCoy started exploring 3D with Autodesk 3D Studio software. Steve McCoy's specialty is 3D modeling. His work includes Mission 9 which allows players to experience a 1st person adventure aboard a starship. He was also responsible for game testing and support on Quake II add-ons such as Zaero or The Red Odyssey.
Steve is an early fan of adventure games from old school text based Hunt the Wumpus or classic Myst to updated game styles of FPS (Quake, Unreal, and Battlefield) and RTS (StarCraft) games.
