Michael Woolf began working in the video game industry in 1999 for Stormfront Studios where he worked on his first game - EA Sports' NASCAR 2000 (PSX, N64, PC) which would start a career known predominantly for success in the racing and poker genres. He worked for several game companies, most notably serving as COO and Product Development Director for Left Field Productions. During his tenure in the video game industry, he helped develop products for each of the major game publishers including Electronic Arts (EA), 2K Sports, THQ, and Activision.

The multimillion dollar game projects that Michael has contributed to, produced, and directed have collectively sold more than 15 million copies worldwide. He has worked in many areas of interactive software and feature film development including: product development, project management, game design, level design, production art, acting/directing, storyboarding, screenwriting, sound effects editing, voice-over, mocap, and special effects.

In addition to racing games including NASCAR, Supercar Street Challenge, Nitrobike, Baja 1000 Offroad Challenge, and Mayhem 3D, Michael designed and served as art director on the first console poker title, World Championship Poker in 2005, which spun out into a genre with multiple licenses competing for supremacy in the marketplace. He has worked on games for each of the major poker licenses including World Poker Tour and World Series of Poker.

Michael contributed to more than 35 video games including EA Sports’ NASCAR 2000, Cabella’s Big Game Hunter, Deerhunter, Celebrity Deathmatch, World Championship Poker, World Poker Tour, and World Series of Poker. Michael also wrote the screenplay for Spongebob’s Boating Bash and worked in feature film effects for several films including Equilibrium starring Christian Bale and Taye Diggs.

Michael is a member of the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences (AIAS), Project Management Institute (PMI), and the International Game Developer’s Association (IGDA). Michael also serves on Mayor Karl Dean’s Film, Television, and Transmedia Council, as a mentor at the Nashville Entrepreneur Center (EC), and on the board of Film-com as Chair of Video Gaming.
