Biography edit · view history

Stephen Hood moved to Liverpool in 1997 to work for Psygnosis. There he learnt his trade working on a variety of famous titles before assuming the lead design responsibilities on the PlayStation 2 launch title Formula One 2001. During development of the sequel, Hood left the company to take a management position with Climax Solent, overseeing the design of a wide range of titles across multiple platforms.

Later he joined a small independent, Deibus Studios, and operated between sites in London and Montpelier managing the design of two in-house games. A chance interview with senior management at Lionhead Studios gave Hood the opportunity to collaborate on the PC title The Movies and its expansion pack Stunts and Effects.

After Lionhead, he moved across the divide and into mobile games and technology for London based Ideaworks3D. There he managed the creative design teams in adapting such profile licenses as Metal Gear Solid and Project Gotham Racing.

In 2009 Hood returned to the Formula One franchise with Codemasters, acting as Chief Designer on the BAFTA winning Formula One 2010.
