Licensed

Denotes any game where the gameplay, storyline, or setting was taken from or inspired by a specific movie, television show, book, board game, brand or other work that predated the game. Examples: NBA sports games, titles based on Walt Disney properties, games based on Dragon Ball Z, games based on The Lord of the Rings (book, movie or TV series), games based on Helly Kitty, Ticket to Ride based on the board game.

It should not be used for games where a small part is licensed. E.g. Forza Horizon should not carry the tag because it contains licensed cars from various manufacturers, but a game entirely based around a single license (e.g. Porsche Challenge) should have it. The same applies for games with licensed music. Games based on other games or characters or franchises from other games never carry the tag.
