The game's title screen
thumbnail
The game starts in demo mode. There is no action key redefinition. The main windows shows the planet surface, radar and status messages
thumbnail
The game starts when the BREAK key is pressed. Now the player is in their craft aboard the mother ship prior to planetfall
thumbnail
The LAUNCH command actually starts the game. The planet surface is gradually revealed in an expanding diamond window. When this is fully displayed the radar kicks in
thumbnail
So now the player is flying over the planets surface. Some targets are static - like these towers, others move around
thumbnail
Whatever it is its firing at me. Neither the enemy fire nor our own is especially accurate.....
thumbnail
We both missed! The fire key can be held down for a longer burst.
thumbnail
Close up the target can be identified as some kind of flying saucer and this time its been hit...
thumbnail
... and destroyed
thumbnail
Towers can also be destroyed ...
thumbnail
... though the results are pretty similar
thumbnail
Sometimes infra red vision is needed. A hit on the target is still not guaranteed though
thumbnail
Somehow a destroyed tower does not look as impressive in infra red
thumbnail
This is something big ....
thumbnail
... and also indestructible. A collision was inevitable. This triggers a 'Game Over' sequence where the main window cycles through bright colours while the central black area gets smaller
thumbnail
The game over sequence ends here.
