Sega Classics Collection
PlayStation 2 version
Eh.....
The Good
Not much to like really. I know that is a weird way to start a review, but it's true. I only remember a few games from the collection, so this will be short. The best ones in the bunch were Alien Syndrome, and Virtua Racing. Virtua Racing looks just like the arcade version, and was a blast to play ! Plus the sound was aw-some. Alien Syndrome was also a great game.
I can't remember the story, but I remember it had lots of exploding alien worms and eye monsters, so that's good enough for me ! Plus, the game uses a INSANE level of rumble! At the end of every stage, let the controller sit on the floor, and it would go half way across the room ! Speaking of con-trolls, there were very tight and responsive. And the updated graphics on some of the games were desperately needed.
The Bad
Every other game besides the two mentioned above. Repetitive,
bad con-troll schemes, and boring gameplay. Especially that other driving game, when you must keep your girlfriend happy.
I played the original and this was just sad! And the load times could be obnoxious occasionally.
The Bottom Line
Unless you are a DIEHARD Sega fan, avoid this like the plague. Virtua Racing ALONE can't redeem this I'll fated collection, nor will the price-tag.
