Fox's Peter Pan & The Pirates: The Revenge of Captain Hook
Description
Captain Hook and his army of brute pirates would like nothing better than to overtake Neverland with their corruptive ways. Peter Pan, with the help of Tinkerbell and a little Pixie Dust, will attempt to stop Captain Hook once and for all by making him walk his own gangplank.
The player controls Peter, whose weapon is a sword. You start with 3 lives and you can increase your life meter by collecting treasure chests or Tinkerbell fairies throughout a level. You also can collect bags of fairy dust to temporarily fly. You must defeat all the pirates present on one level to get to the next level.

Should Be Forced To Walk The Plank!
The Good
The ability to fly was perhaps the only thing handled half decently in this horrific game. It is always difficult to deal with a game character who has the power of flight and [in this case] it is easy to get Pan to fly.
The Bad
Fox's Peter Pan and the Pirates was an animated gem. One of the collection of animated tv shows to air on [if not to be produced by] the network during the early 1990's that had some impressive [if not groundbreaking] artwork, animation, voice talents and writing. This could have been a cool video game, but instead we get this piece of garbage.
The game's graphics and sound are simply horrible. It does not look or sound anything like the television series and the that is just for starters. Most of the levels are actually repeats with a different color scheme and everything about the look and sound of the game screams unprofessional garbage. Even the intermission sequences look bad as does Captain Hook.
Pan only has a short range sword as an offensive move, and while the basic premise behind his ability to fly is well handled, the control is [overall] sloppy with poor hit detection, jerky movements and an uninspired feeling all around.
Everything about this game will make you ask, "Why?" Why, are the graphics and sound so bad? Why is the storyline almost non-existent? Why is everything about this game so horrible, when the source material provides the foundation for a great game.
The Bottom Line
This game is a sad reminder of an old dirty trick in the gaming world; quickly produce a seriously flawed if not outright horrible game and hope that it sells simply because you have slapped a popular franchise label on it.
