King of the Cabbage World
Description
King of the Cabbage World is a mobile game made for multiplayer matches between two players. Each player controls a mole who attempts to kill the other mole by throwing exploding vegetables. The game is played from a side view perspective and the lower part of the screen consists of a network of tunnels that the mole can use to hide. The upper part of the screen is above ground and shows the opposing mole in the distance. There are three standard weapons: carrots, onions and cauliflowers, each exploding in different ways. The vegetables grow on the surface and can be dug up by the mole.
In addition to the multiplayer game which is played online there is also a practice mode for one player. By winning matches in the online mode credits are earned which can be used to buy more weapons. A match is won when the opponent is caught in an explosion.

Trivia
Development
King of the Cabbage World was the first game made by the team that would become Rovio Entertainment. It was originally developed by Niklas Hed, Jarno Väkeväinen and Kim Dikert under the name Rapture Seekers and released at the demo party Assembly '03 where it won first prize in the mobile category. Soon thereafter the trio founded Relude Ltd. (which later became Rovio) and continued working on the game. In 2004 a new version of the game called Mole War was released by publisher Sumea.
