Covetous
Description
Covetous is a short game for the Ludum Mini-Dare 20 event with "Greed" as the theme. The player guides an abandoned cell through the body of his brother. Through a gathering mechanic the cell needs to be fed and eats the brother from inside out. This is split up with different stages and in between the thoughts of the cell are shown as text. This leads up to a final choice with two possible ending. The game is entirely controlled with the arrow keys.

Trivia
Concept
The player character's situation is similar to fetus in fetu, a rare phenomenon in which a mass of tissue resembling a fetus is found inside the body. Though there are multiple explanations for how this can happen, one scenario is that the fetus in fetu is a twin that was absorbed by its host in the womb, as is the case in Covetous. Fortunately, although the condition can potentially pose a serious health risk, its outcome is not as gruesome as in the game, and it may be treated by surgically removing the growth.
