Bezare

Bezare is a 1-player space-themed arcade game for the Apple II.

A game apparently developed by aliens, it was intercepted by the programmers at Southwestern Data Systems, whom were able to translate the game to work on Apple II computers, but were unable to convert the game text to English. In this game, the aliens are understandably depicted in the protagonist role, as they show their invasion of Earth.

In the first scene, the player controls an alien on the top of the screen, whom can move horizontally and fire vertically downwards. They player has to fire missiles at Earth shuttles and rockets which launch towards the player. The player gets points for destroying human vessels, and if a vessel manages to move past the player, the player's round is over, and they receive a score for this component. In the second game, the player can move in 4 cardinal directions, and must place landmines in the way of approaching human tanks. If the tank runs over a mine, it is destroyed. If the player runs into a tank while holding a mine, they lose a life and the tank is destroyed. The player has a total of 3 lives, and when all are lost it's game over.
