Joe's run-down farm at the beginning (still, sometimes it's a bit of a pity that you have to buy all renovations. For example, paved paths look too much like urban streets...).
thumbnail
The first hidden object level - find items in the old shed and some of them will be used in the object puzzle.
thumbnail
Such photos appear during loading between levels. Here we can see Tom's initial attitude to his farm vacation...
thumbnail
Match-3 levels are presented as Joe selling his produce to other townspeople.
thumbnail
Another hidden object level. Altogether there are only five rooms for hidden object levels, due to their minor role in the game.
thumbnail
This room probably once belonged to one of Tom's parents and now Tom himself is living there for his vacation.
thumbnail
As the farm is developed, tiles in match-3 levels become more varied. Here's an example of tiles which are unlocked after Joe has restarted growing flowers and keeping chickens and bees at his farm...
thumbnail
...However, there are of course always just five kinds of tiles per level - with more of them, creating matches would become too unlikely.
thumbnail
I hesitate whether to post this image because it spoils a bit of the plot... But anyway, "Farmscapes" is not a true adventure game, just a puzzle/simulation with a real storyline.
thumbnail
The story is pushed forward by events such as articles in local newspaper, visits from neighbor Linda, phone calls and object puzzles. Btw, check out the trivia in the paper's right column.
thumbnail
Tom playing William Tell with his grandfather's poor dog...
thumbnail
A hidden object level in the kitchen. Important: unlike in most hidden object games, you can manipulate some parts of the view, for example open and close cabinet doors and drawers.
thumbnail
"Do birds ate (sic!) curd?" - a child's question in some novel. So, do fishes ate donuts?
thumbnail
Background in one of the match-3 levels.
thumbnail
I've managed to win all trophies! However, it's a pity that animations only appear when you move the cursor to a trophy, never by themselves. So no effects here, and they are nice...
thumbnail
Joe's farm, restored to its former splendor.
thumbnail
Afterwards, you can renovate two new farms - but it's disappointing, (almost) nothing you couldn't achieve just using the "Design" option, and the game's pace drops to almost nothing...
thumbnail
...In fact the only reasons for full playthrough of new farms instead of using the "Design" option to modify the old farm's appearance is that developing them is the only way to get all trophies.
