Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - Limited Edition Video CD (included game)
Description
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - Limited Edition Video CD is a promotional disc released in advance of the movie "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen". There are two ways to use this disc;
- In a region 2 DVD player the disc should auto play and give the user access to three movie trailers. There is no interactive element in this mode of use.
- In a PC or a MAC the player is instructed to open the disc and navigate to the application. The instructions on the back of the card sleeve tell the PC users to navigate to a file named ClickHere.exe, MAC users had to navigate to Macstart, either program opens up the CDs interactive content, however on the disc there is only one program ans it is called Transformers.exe.
The Adobe Flashplayer program opens in full screen mode and starts by showing a movie trailer in a small central window, watching this is optional. When the trailer ends, or when the player chooses to skip it the maim menu is displayed, presenting the player with the following choices;
+ Building Bumblebee: This opens another small central window in which a short video sequence plays, much of it time-lapse, showing the 2009 construction of the Bumblebee transformer in Cannes, France.
+ Synopsis: This is very high level summary of the storyline. In a single small central window the following text is shown
*"In the highly anticipated 'Transformers: revenge of the Fallen' debuting june 24, 2009, Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBoef) again joins with the Autobots against their sworn enemies, the Decepticons. Michael Bay directs from a screenplay by Ehren Kruger & Roberto Orci & Alex Hurtzman"*
+ Trailers and TV Spots: This allows the player to view the movie trailer, the Superbowl trainer, a teaser and four TV adverts
+ Mini Game: This is an interactive, mouse controlled, singe player, spot the difference game. The player is shown two pictures and has to find ten differences between them in sixty seconds in order to advance to the next level. Some of the differences, such as a change in the colour of one eye, are very hard to spot. If the player fails to find the differences they can start again but usually a different picture is shown.
+ The Video Game: This shows the player two trailers. The "Reveal Trailer" shows game footage playing as both the Transformers and the Decepticons while the "Ensemble Trailer" shows half a dozen or so voice actors extolling the game. Also in this section are;
- Wallpapers: There are four of these, each in four resolutions 800x600, 1024.768, 1280x1024 & 1600x1200
- Screenshots: There are thirteen screenshots presumably from the XBOX version of the game as an image of the XBOX keep case is shown with each image
- Concept Art: There are five drawings in this section
Neither the screenshots nor the concept art drawings can be saved or printed via the application
+ Activities and Downloads: This section contains printable material; four posters; six door hangers; thirteen colouring sheets; and two desktop images.
