Adventure Gamer for Windows

Adventure Gamer for Windows is a shareware authoring program that aided the development of text adventure games, it was also used to play games and contained two example games:

• The Training Game: This is described as ‘not really a game’, and it’s more an example of how a game is put together, players are advised to complete this before attempting the full game.
• The Gates of Macrohard: This is a ‘full sized’, playable text adventure that is a play on IBM/Microsoft. The player has to save the world from domination by JCN Macrohard of the 3.11th dimension.

The shareware package allowed the creation of small games, thus the ‘Training Game’ can be edited, while The Gates of Macrohard could be played but could not be edited as it was too large for the unregistered software.
