Description official description
This is a platform game based on the movie "Home Alone". Kevin's family went on vacation, but they forgot about him, so now he's home alone. Now there are two burglars who want to break into the house. Kevin has to prevent the burglars from kidnapping him, by riddling the house with traps.
The player controls Kevin through the mansion in a side perspective. He has one hour before the burglars will break into the house. In this hour, the player has to set up various traps in order to make the burglars give up on capturing Kevin. After this hour, the burglars break in, and the traps become active. Each trap deals 5 damage to a burglar, and the first shot of Kevin's BB gun deals another 5. During this phase, the screen always tells in which room each burglar is at the moment. The game is won by dealing 50 damage to each burglar.

A well adaptation of the movie
The Good
The game follows the movie very well. It clearly shows the climax of the movie in this game.
The graphics of the game are great (if you choose VGA or MC-GA 256 colors in the configuration. The Tandy and EGA 16 color graphics are not very good). Kevin, the Wet Bandits, the cutscenes, and the house are all well detailed.
The music and sound effects are good. While you may not hear the theme song or any other music in the movie the music is good. The sound effects are decent.
There are also many variations on how the game can be played. You can set one trap in one room and when you play the game again you can set it in another.
There's also humor in the game when you lure the Wet Bandits into traps.
The Bad
The controls could have been better (typical of old computer games). However, I have listed the controls in the Tips and Tricks section.
The Bottom Line
If you like Home Alone, this game is for you!
