Declaration of War
Description
Declaration of War is a MS-Windows war/strategy game set in modern times. The game is played on a map of up to 150 x 150 with up to 6 human or computer players. Other features include 15 different types of pieces, 24 strength levels, an editable map, variable victory conditions, and a PBM option.
The game is played on a grid of variable sizes depending on the scenario. There are various islands throughout the grid with cities, forests, and mountains. You and your opponents (computer or human) start the game with one city each.
The object of the game is to build up your forces, and capture cities until you are strong enough to attack the other players. To win the game you must capture all of your opponent's cities and destroy all of your opponent's pieces or force all of your opponents to surrender. You begin the game by naming your first city then selecting the type of piece that you want to start building in that city.
The shareware game has a single scenario while the full registered game had additional scenarios for World War II, Battle of the Bulge, Arab-Israeli War, and Aircav.
