Description official description

More than three decades after the events of Dino Eggs, celebrated dino-savior Time Master Tim is now a retired hero... with a curious daughter. The latter takes it upon herself to mess around with some old relics in the family basement, and accidentally triggers another mass extinction in the distant past! It's off once again through the time-warp, and this time both Tim and his daughter Tam must set things right by braving primordial dangers, rescuing reptilians and carrying off their eggs back to modern times.

Rebirth is a modernized sequel by the original game's author, which retains the Dino Eggs gameplay formula, updates the look and feel, and adds many more variations on the theme. The main part of the quest still consists of warping through randomly-generated sections of the prehistoric cliffsides, where the local fauna (including Dino Mom herself) hinder the rescue operation. The levels are larger now, and take place in different ages (Outlands, Swamplands, Stone Age, Ice Age) which vary in visuals as well as in specific challenges and dangers. Eggs (and dino babies) now come in various types, including the rare pterodactyl; Tim and Tam get some new acrobatic maneuvers in their arsenal, but in exchange must face new and unexpected hazards. Upon finishing a level, a star rating grades your performance -- accumulating these stars is the key to unlocking new stages.

Other quests have been added, too: 'Dino Dilemmas', a series of brain-teasing levels that complement the action with puzzle-solving, and 'Secrets of the Time Quartz', a playable storyline where the chronologically-active crystal is a central plot device. On top of that, there's also the Classic 1983 mode -- a retouched version of the first Dino Eggs, where the levels and game mechanics faithfully replicate the original experience.

The family basement serves as a hub with time-warps leading the way to the various quests; a tutorial chapter is included for the benefit of novice players. Local multi-player (cooperative or competitive) is now an option, and two different sets of graphical assets can be selected at will.
