When you're on the main menu screen, you'll be treated to music that sounds very similar to the Transport Tycoon theme

The tutorial has you setting up a bus route, but it's 1850!

Since it's 1850, buses are actually horse-drawn carriages!

I've setup my first intra-city bus route. Spoiler alert: that bridge is going to be a traffic problem in the future.

Similar to Transport Tycoon there are a variety of raw materials you can transport around the map

You can zoom out quite far above the map to see what's going on between the towns. The maps aren't as large as Transport Tycoon but there's plenty to do.

What I like about the game is that it's introduced me to some rather obscure vehicles such as this French steam bus called the L'Obéissante

It's important to gauge the profitability of your lines and to identify if there are any supply/demand issues

This city is growing and now has several bus routes

As the years pass you'll be offered more powerful locomotives and bigger passenger cars

Instead of building a railway I decided to build a huge highway between the oil wells and the refinery. Now I can assign some tanker trucks to go down this route.

Eventually you'll be offered the choice to purchase electric locomotives

Trams are a good way to generate profit on busy routes in larger cities

As cars become more commonplace so does traffic jams

Traffic doesn't seem too bad at the moment but trust me, it can get pretty bad at times as there is no other way across the river
