Description

The Sun and Moon is an action platformer made as an 48 hour entry for the Ludum Dare #29 competition, which it won, with the theme Beneath the Surface. It consists of 30 small levels that are completed by collecting all "shinies" items, after which the wormhole exit is opened. Controls are limited to moving around and jumping. Contact with a single hazard, such as a spiked object or falling down the platforms floating in the sky, ends the level right away. The core game mechanic is a system that allows the character to enter solid objects such as walls or floor. While inside however, gravity is reversed and the character "falls" upwards. The momentum introduces a flinging mechanic, based on the height and the speed used to enter objects, which is used to overcome obstacles. All levels are available right away.
