Bad Sector: High-Density Disk Edition

Bad Sector: High-Density Disk Edition is an expanded version of the original Bad Sector which adds collectable power-ups, an endless survival mode, and makes some changes to the behaviour of the purple viruses. The purple viruses do not stay still and spawn red viruses like in the original game, but instead move around just like the other viruses, although in a randomized way that makes their movements harder to predict.

The power-ups that are added to the game are an extra life, and a pause, which freezes all of the viruses for a short period of time. These power-ups can be collected either by running into them or by catching them in a sectioned off area.

The survival mode is an endless mode where you are given two lives and are tasked with scoring as many points as possible. These points can be obtained by sectioning off areas and by destroying viruses. However unlike in the normal mode, sectioned off areas disappear immediately and viruses you destroy will respawn. At the beginning there are only red viruses to deal with, however as you destroy more and more of them the purple and the yellow viruses start spawning in their place.
