Trailer Park Tycoon
Description official description
Trailer Park Tycoon puts you in the shoes of a budding trailer park owner.
You are tasked with building various trailers and ammenities to attract people to your park. You start with five to eight basic trailers, each upgradable three times. Specialized trailers become available, catering to specific people. A trailer in the shape of a car, for example, will attract motorheads, while a bike shaped trailer will attract bikers (and their gangs).
Various ammenities are available to make your citizens happy. You have laundry rooms, stageshows, bars, and more. You can increase the value of your trailer park by building scenery, such as trees, playgrounds, water, flamingos, etc.
TPT can be played in either Tycoon mode, which is a mission-by-mission game, giving you various objectives, or in a free play mode, where you can build and build with no constraints or restrictions.
There are four areas available for developing; Country, Swamplands, Desert, and Urban.

The Good
What did I like about it? Just about everything! For one thing, I think it's a pretty funny game. The way a stray alien just chases my trashy folks around, makes me smile. : )
Chickens running amok, and even a dog running around and causing trouble, it's all good fun. What I like the most about this game, is it so easy to play. It feels like a casual game! I love it for that! I play a lot of type of games, but I like to play the ones that don't take too much skill, and that rings true for this game.
The sounds are pretty good too, like a dog barking or aliens invading.
It even only lets you place your trailers, amenities, and attractions down in specific fixed places, at a fixed angle. So, to build your park all it takes is clicking on what you want and placing it down where you want it to be. Simple!
It has a puzzle feel to it too, because you have four different styled residents that come to stay at your trailer park. Trashy, Flashy, Cool and Old Skool. Every object has a rating, that adds points to one or two of these stats, so if one of your residents wants a trashy trailer, give it to em'! Just place down a trashy trailer, and place trashy stuff around it. The only prices you have to worry about changing, are the amenities, and trailers. And even then, the game has you change them in fives. : )
The first person view camera is a neat addition.
The Bad
Well, the game isn't too much fun to watch. Your folks don't do a whole lot, and only say one word, "wahwah", and then wave, or punch someone if they don't like them. Meh. Who cares about graphics anyway!
Aside from the main menu and a little tune when you start a new game, there is no music. The sounds are pretty good, like a dog barking or aliens invading.
The Bottom Line
If you have always wanted a simple to play Tycoon game, and haven't gave this one a go. Try it! You might just like it. Oh, did I mention that it is almost entirely void of bugs. Thumbs up, Jeleco! Too bad you don't make games anymore. : (

Should this game be called Trailer "Theme" Park?
The Good
I enjoy the "Theme" games, and TPT is definitely one of those. There is a lot of cool stuff in there to buy and put on your lot. The initial cash it gives you is enough to have fun, even if you're losing!
Jaleco did real good with the camera views. The ground view is pretty cool.
The Bad
There's no manual for this game (that I can find), so you have to just start clicking on stuff to figure the game out for yourself. If you're not already familiar with the sim type of games, this won't be easy for you.
My wife says it would have been a little better if the peeps would be able to interact a little more with each other. They just kind of wander around the streets of the game and be dissatisfied.
The Bottom Line
TPT is a lot like Theme Park. Start with nothing, and with a little cash, build it into something! Make money, buy stuff, people show up ... make more money, buy more stuff, more people show up.
