Ring Raiders
Description
Ring Raiders is a variant of the arcade game Star Castle. The player takes control of a space ship with Asteroids-like controls (rotating the ship to aim, thrust to move forward) and has to destroy a triangular cannon that is located in the centre of the screen. The cannon is surrounded by three rotating rings each consisting of eight segments. To hit the cannon the player first has to create a hole through the rings. Two hits are required to destroy a segment but if the whole outer ring is destroyed a new one is built. At times smart bombs will be launched from the cannon and the player has to shoot these down to avoid losing a life. Upon destroying the cannon the player earns an extra life and moves on to the next level.
