The Daring Mermaid Expedition

In this multiple-choice interactive story, players direct the investigation of a junior applicant to the hallowed Royal German Marinological Society into settling, once and for all, the burning cryptozoological question of our time: are there mermaids down there in the ocean's murky depths? (Spoiler warning: if the answer was "no", there wouldn't be much story to tell here.) Biased by a positively moist experience earlier in life, informed by player choices, our intrepid scientist navigates treacherous tides, pillaging pirates (including a cameo appearance from the author's crowdfunded Lucy Smokeheart serial stories), romantic ruckuses, and most perilously of all -- academic advisors.

The humourous story encourages replay with a variety of endings possible through diverse player approaches, accommodating research styles from Sherlock Holmes to Indiana Jones and everything in between.
