Tales of the Orange Forest: The Grand Mayhem
Description
Tales from the Orange Forest: The Grand Mayhem is a side-scrolling platformer: the player character moves and jumps through levels filled with traps. The problem is that the physics are rag-doll based, i.e. the characters don't react directly like in regular platformers: each movement requires some force to initiate and it is more difficult to keep control after momentum is built up.
There are four characters to choose from (skeleton, ghost, zombie or vampire) which all have different attacks and abilities. For example, the zombie can throw rocks, strangle opponents, has the iron skin defense ability (prevents normal damage, but impalement is still possible) and generally can take more damage. However, in the single-player levels there are no enemies to defeat: the attack mechanics are meant to be used against other players in duel. Additional levels can be built with the level editor.
