Little Raiders: Robin's Revenge
Description
Little Raiders: Robin's Revenge is a social builder combined with real-time strategy battles loosely based on the legend of Robin Hood. The game is set in the fictional city Snowbourne in 1123. In the Darkwood Valley Sherrif Blackthorne and his guards are drafting common folk by force to join the King's army and fight in the crusades. The sherriff attacks and burn downs the town to set an example, but Robin of Darkwood organizes a rebellion and sets up camp in the forest. With the builder Brunel and the fantasy creature Wakaba by his side, he needs to build and expand a tree base, go on quests, rescue villagers to feed and train them, and upgrade the base's services and the abilities of the villagers.
The main resources are silver, food, wood and acorns. Food is used to feed the villagers and keep them healthy. It can be earned during quests, but it can also be picked up at various spots around the base or it can be grown through a number of buildings. By leveling up and acquiring more fame, new buildings and abilities are unlocked gradually. Acorns make the tree grow, providing more space for additional buildings. Each unit has individual statistics and levels. Civilians can be trained for specific professions, such as becoming an archer. The player also needs to construct weapons and defensive means and equip them manually. There are various goals and quests selected on a forest map. Battles are played on a separate screen. Up to three main heroes can be controlled, in different formations with multiple additional units. These battles are done in real-time, attacking enemies, using stealth, having the heroes use their special moves, combined with movement. Attacking is done automatically by clicking an opponent.
Missions include defeating a number of enemies, protecting another character, destroying a certain building or object and so on. Raiders cannot be killed permanently. When they succumb in battle, they need to return to the village to rest and recover, which takes some time. The game is free-to-play with waiting times for the construction and training of certain buildings and units to complete. These can optionally be skipped using amber, the game's premium currency available through in-app purchases.
