Unnecessary Violence
Description
Unnecessary Violence is a car combat game. A religious terror group, the Movementarians, planted bombs all around the city. The player needs to kill all members of this group before they can detonate the charges.
During each level, which takes place on a straight road, the player needs to destroy a number of marked cars within a time limit. There are also a number of other cars on the road which also need to die because they slow the player down or, when touched, even decrease the car's health. The available weapons are machine gun (plenty of ammo, but it tends to overheat fast), rockets, mines (dropped directly behind the car), anti-tank missiles (locks on targets), anti-air missiles (required to shoot down helicopters), and nukes (big damage, but requires to enter a code first).
The car also is equipped with a nitro boost. Activating it does not only increase speed, but keeping it up for five seconds allows to enter an adrenaline rush mode: as long as the car drives at top speed, unlimited rockets are available. Killing specially marked cars, e.g. slow drivers on the fast lane, rewards useful extras (additional ammo, time, health and nitro).
