Enkaku Sōsa: Shinjitsu e no 23 Hiai
Description
Kouji Saitou (斉藤 光志) is a private investigator who finds himself arrested for the murder he did not commit. What's more, he was pretty drunk when arrested and doesn't remember much around the time when the murder took place. Taken into detention, he needs to rely on other people to gather clues and prove his innocence. His girlfriend, Noriko Shinjou (新城 法子), while shocked at first, believes in his innocence and decides to help him find out more about the last night's events and keep him apprised.
During dialogues with other characters you will be given clues which in turn you'll be able to use to present in order to prove your innocence during interrogation scenes. Interrogation scenes present a bar which can either deplete if you answer incorrectly or present irrelevant clues which will make you look guilty, or it will fill as you successfully answer the questions that will exonerate you. Words marked in green during dialogues can be selected to give you more background on what is meant by that. When controlling Noriko, you'll be able to talk to other characters like in visual novels, with ability to look around each room and interact with certain objects to gather more information and clues. The story progresses through days and you have a time limit of 23 days to exonerate yourself and find the real culprit.
