This was the final game released by Compile. It was completed and scheduled to be released on Sega's NAOMI arcade platform, but the company folded before its release. Compile founder Masamitsu Niitani then took the game (and some of its development staff) to his newly-formed company Aiky, who ported the game code for the game's official release.
