Excellent Addition and Update to X-Men
The Good
The plot for the game is interesting and several of the villians/bosses are cool to look at for a Genesis game. It's great to play by yourself or with a friend. The energy bar for mutant powers can be upgraded by collecting DNA, which makes your mutant powers more powerful and different.
There are several levels with unique designs and great backgrounds. The Phalanx levels look alot alike though. You fight clones of the X-Men as villains in later levels.
The Bad
Since I grew up in the non-saving days of gaming I was adept at mastering games so as to beat them endlessly. That being said the last few levels get very hard. The trick is finding out which specific character to use for certain levels.
Jumping from platform to platform can be frustrating.
The Bottom Line
X2: X-Men United. Heroes and Villains unite to stop a greater evil
