Wardoves: Secret Weapon of World War I

In Wardoves: Secret Weapon of World War I you are soldier during World War I and your task is to to shoot down enemy messenger pigeons or 'wardoves'. The game consists of five levels, each taking place during a different year of World War I. Each level is a pre-rendered static background and locations include Westfront, Eastern Front, Air-Battle, French Coast and Alps. The wardoves fly across the screen and you need to point-and-click on them to kill them. At the same time you are attacked by enemy units (consisting of war planes, hot air balloons and tanks) which you also need to take down. You have a set amount of health and ammo at the start of the level, but you can heal/reload by shooting the health and ammo crates that parachute from the sky. Occasionally the enemy will throw grenades at you that you need to kick away (again, by pointing the cursor and clicking the mouse) before they explode.

Each level begins with a short WWI archive video, and the level backgrounds are inspired by WWI battles. Overall the game has a comical feel.
