The Assassins: PD Games Volume 01
Description
Assassins PD Games vol 1 is the first in a series of compilations of public domain games 'developed' by The Assassins, a couple of guys from the north of England. In all they produced at least two hundred and fifty such compilations which typically contained between two and six games many of which had been featured on cover discs for the UK versions of magazines such as Amiga Power and Amiga Format. These compilations were sold by mail order through a number of suppliers of public domain software who would usually assign their own catalogue number, so it is not uncommon to find the same compilation on offer from multiple suppliers in the same magazine.

This magazine is typical of UK Amiga magazines of the 1990's. Looking through its pages gives an indication of the number of suppliers of public domain software. This Assassins game compilation is sold by the following companies Byteback on page 168 where they have given it their own name AG 64, they also have the second Assassins compilation at AG 56 Software Expressions on page 165, it's item G0 96 Blitterclips on 172 have the first ten Assassins game files plus some of their utility compilations
