BlazeRush
Description official description
BlazeRush is an arcade racing game similar to Rock 'n Roll Racing. Races take place on short tracks with the camera positioned in a fixed, isometric-like view next to the track. As the camera stays fixed relative to the car, the controls need to be adjusted based on the position on the track. The game is set on three planets with sixteen tracks in total. During races there is no health; when knocked off the track the car automatically respawns. All racers are kept in view at all times. When one car lags behind it eventually respawns closer to the other racers.
In the career mode races need to be completed based on different game modes. There are regular circuit races, time trials, death races and king races. In death races races the cars are chased by a giant spiked steamroller. Every now and then it approaches, destroying all cars in the way until only one remains. Points are then awarded based on the position and there are multiple sessions until a survivor race is completed. When knocked off the track in a survivor race, the car does not respawn until the next session. King races are won by staying in the lead longer than the other racers, regardless of the ending position. By winning races points, cups and medals are earned. Cups are objectives specific for each track. By doing well additional tracks and racers are unlocked. Each racer has different statistics based on mass, acceleration and handleability. Slow cars have little acceleration, but are not affected much by projectiles. Fast cars have great acceleration, but are easily knocked off the track. There are also racers that slightly hover above the track.
While racing various pick-ups spawn. There is a boost that can be activated by the player, either as a regular boost or different types of strong ones that can also easily catapult a car into the void. Weapon pick-ups include an autogun, a seeking missile, a chainsaw blade, a slime shot that slows down and a soundwave. As opponents cannot be destroyed permanently (except for survivor races), the main goal is to use weapons to knock opponents off the tracks and gain the lead. There is also a focus on drifting through corner and avoiding obstacles and the track borders. The game supports multiplayer for up to four players offline and eight players online.
