Hexxagon HD

Hexxagon HD is a board game, an enhanced version of the developer's earlier Hexxagon. Just like its predecessor it takes its inspiration from the DOS Hexxagon, with the players moving and cloning their pawns around the hexagonal boards in order to transform the opponent's pawns into their own.

A number of game modes are available. In Ranking and Star Collecting mode, the player competes against the computer, unlocking new boards as he goes. Successfully completing a board in either of these modes also unlocks it for play in Rating mode and in human-vs-human games.

In Ranking mode, there are nine difficulties to choose from. Completing a board increases the player's rating, based on the difficulty level chosen. In Star Collecting mode, each board has three "star" hexes on it; the player is challenged to occupy as many stars as possible upon completing a board. Apart from adding to the player's score in this mode, collecting a minimum number of stars is necessary to access later boards. In Rating mode, the player tries to gain a high Elo rating by successfully defeating the computer opponent; the rating increases depending on the difficulty level chosen, with thirteen difficulties to choose from. There are also three modes for competing against other human players: offline play, online play against a randomly chosen opponent, or online play against an opponent from the player's Google+ Circles.

The player can compare his scores in four game modes (Ranking mode, Star Collecting mode, Rating mode and online play) with other players from all over the world. The game also contains an achievement system and in-app purchases, where money can be spent to buy gems that can disable ads or unlock all boards.
