The Good
Control, driving options, and very good graphics for the time. Also, unique game progression and challenges.
The Bad
There is no save option per se. They have a password system, which is okay, but not great. Also, the opponents tend to be relatively simple minded.
The Bottom Line
This game pits your against various Formula 1 type racers for the overall championship title. It allows you to progress to different teams and faster cars based on your performance. A unique option in the game is the ability to challenge other racing teams in a specific race. If you win, you will often be offered a position to race for the upgraded team. This is a classic due to it's control, graphics, and overall feel. The game plays tight with no blaring discrepancies or issues. Graphics are well above average for the time and there is no slow down or flicker when playing through even the fast parts of the tracks. The World Championship mode is a lot of fun and will keep you occupied for a while. Also, I like the choice of three transmissions with the more challenging ones (4 and 7 speed manuals) giving you advantages in overall speed to offset the difficulty and reward your effort at mastering the manual shift.
